VMP is thrilled to announce our

2019 Concert Program ♪♫♬

cello
We know you all think that we are just relaxing on a beach somewhere during those cold winter months when we don't have concerts -- right? But no! We have been hard at work, and know that you will be as excited as we are about our 2019 Concert Season, which will kick off on Sunday, 3 March at St. George's Anglican Church located in Campo San Vio!

The program will feature more Hidden Treasures that we have discovered during these months, including 3 manuscripts uncovered by our wonderful friend and musicologist Prof. Marica Tacconi of Penn State University, and a mystery aria that we still need to attribute to a composer!

This year, we are launching a new series of concerts called "Back to Bach," which will feature the composer's sonatas for solo instrument (violin, flute, and viola da gamba) and harpsichord obbligato.
For Easter, we will present entirely new programs, which will feature M.A. Charpentier's Leçons de Ténèbres and, in its first performance in Venice in approximately 200 years, the Requiem of Nicolo' Jommelli.
We are happy to welcome back flautist Stefano Bet, Tenor Michele Fracasso, Mezzo-soprano Johanna Van der Decken, Contralto Elena Biscuola, and Fabiano Martignano on flute.
