For our first concert in June, we’re going to step forward in time and take you beyond the Baroque era; we will meet, among others, Haydn and Beethoven!♪♫♬

For us at Venice Music Project, the Baroque era is a period that is very close to our hearts! This era, unfortunately overlooked and forgotten by many after the arrival of Mozart, is an era that we constantly explore with the hope of rediscovering something new. But this doesn't mean that other musical periods don't interest us! In fact, it’s why this week we plan to offer you a concert that’s a little different from our Baroque repertoire. We want you to discover what came after Vivaldi and Bach, but without leaving them behind!

Our aim is to create a journey through time that will allow the audience to experience the musical changes that developed from the Baroque era to the late eighteenth century!
Starting from Corelli, the composer best known for his trio sonatas and concerti grossi, we will journey through two centuries of music until we arrive at Beethoven, in addition to featuring Haydn, the “Father of the String Quartet”. We thus enter into the so-called classical era, a period that begins more or less with the passing of Bach (1750), and subsequently ends with the loss of the great Beethoven in 1827. Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven are often studied together as the most prominent composers of the Classical period. As for their predecessors, these three composers strongly defined an era for which they will be forever remembered.
